Halfway around the world, English is more important than ever. Just a few weeks ago, a taxi driver from Ghana was driving me around in DC. Apparently, Ghana is the number one place in Africa for well-trained, native English-speaking talent. This email I just received from Ghana cements that. By the way, if any of you are search for a new career, there are openings in Canada and Australia for "lobsters". As a lobster, presumably after completing some sort of on-the-job crustacean certification, you make between $13 and $22 an hour. Not bad for just sitting in a tank!
